The General Legal Council exists to ensure fair and efficient operation of legal education through improved human and institutional capacity. The Council aims at securing the public interest, a legal profession with the highest standard in the practice of law in Ghana.
The vision of Ghana School of Law is to become a centre of excellence in Africa and the world at large for professional legal training and research. The school is non-residential.
I assumed duty on September 3, 2012. I deem it a great honour and privilege to be at the helm of affairs in this great institution at this time of its history.I am honoured to sit in the seat of legal luminaries, who have worked as Directors in the past, and I will endeavour to the best of my ability, to improve on the status of the Ghana School of Law during my tenure of office.
The Ghana School of Law was established in 1958, by Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and was the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. The school is the leading Law School in the Sub-region and serves students from other Commonwealth countries in the Sub-region.
